Vidya Vardhaka College of Engineering is an engineering college affiliated to the Visveswaraya Technological University and recognised by the Government of Karnataka and the All India Council for Technical Education. Programs of study offered include bachelor's degrees in mechanical, electronics, computer science, information sciences, electrical and environmental engineering. The college was founded by the VidyaVardhaka Sangha in 1997. Vidyavardhaka Sangha is in Mysore. Veterans like Late Sahukhar Chennaiah & Late K. Puttaswamy former minister of Karnataka established the sangha during the year 1949. The college is located in the Vijaya Nagar - Gokulam area 3rd stage north of the city and from the city railway station.
